This session will present a case study about the innovative approach that Sberbank has taken to implement biometrics in the bank with over 100M customers. Speakers will share best practices in designing an omnichannel user experience for customers, and how risk-based approach and machine learning helped them to build an intelligent system that is soft to legitimate users and hard to fraudsters.

Graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute in 2011. Has been working as an SDK engineer in ABBYY from 2010 till 2013. Changed Software development company for the Finance field (Banking and Insurance) in 2013. Within 5 years has been working on scaleful projects in the biggest Banks of Russia (Vneshtorg Bank, Rosbank, Sberbank). In 2017 started working for a risk-based approach in authentication platform as a Product owner in Sberbank, Cybersecurity department.
Anton Mitrofanov has more then 10 years of work experience in security. Success stories include development and implementation of unified biometrics platform, deployment of fraud monitoring system for ATMs and EMV card processing with Sberbank, implementation of ArcSight for National Bank of Khazakstan, implementation of security 0perations center based on HP ArcSight for federal treasury with infosec and multiple security consultancy services for financial sector with Accenture. Mitrofanov’s current responsibilities include leading development and R&D of biometrics and authentication areas in the bank, and managing projects in the area of biometrics and antifraud. He is the Project Director and Product Owner for Sberbank’s unified biometrics platform.
